The team at Blocks Global are pleased to announce the release of Blocks 3.1.  This will occur after business hours on Tuesday 6 July.  

The changes that are included are:

Security

• A new Authentication Framework ensures Blocks will be more secure for our users, with greater robustness for future integrations.  It will also provide extra statistics on account usage ie a login history.
• Addition of the 'Remember Me' functionality to the Login page
• Addition of  the Blocks API for better integration with external systems
• 'Client Apps' & 'My Apps' management screens.

Contacts
A number of improvements and enhancements including:

• Counter to reset if no results were found
• Allow immediate deletion of lists
• Easier to add filters

Email Marketing

• Typically, emails are only classified as 'read' when the images are fully downloaded.  Now campaigns will also be classified as read when viewing online and/or forwarding to a friend
• Blocks 3.1 will keep a version history of all email sent which will ensure they cannot be overwritten and your customers will always be able to view the email that was sent originally.
• Legend added to Time Series graph
• Emails to contain 'digital signing' for greater authentication, which will improve deliverability
• When setting up an email., the 'Next' button that normally only appears at the bottom of the page now also appears at the top.

New Email Link Tracking functionality including:

• Ability to track the opening of all links in email campaigns
• Automatic shortening of URLs to make more user friendly
• New interface to access tracking information such as Total Clicks, Uniques, Click/View and other.

CMS

• JavaScript has been enabled in page Preview allowing users to view animation and other dynamic features.
• Added 'Publish All Sites' button - this is a Super Admin function only
• Ordering 'Loose Pages' by name
• Making it easier to reorder within repeatable regions.  When you click on 'Reorder' , the +/- buttons will be hidden allowing you to reorder without making a mistake and adding or removing an item. Need to hit 'Finish' once completed.
• When adding a new page to a website, Blocks 3.1 will automatically create footers for each page.
• Improvements to the Text Editor Box (Tiny MCE) ensuring Paste from Word is automatic and without bugs
• When adding a 'Forms' template, Blocks 3.1 will now create a basic template and it is now possible to add custom fields as well

Form Actions

• Custom fields are now available to the form action.

Assets

• Blocks 3.1 can upload images with both .tif and .tiff extensions
• When tagging files, Blocks 3.1 has a pop-up suggestions box that can be refined

Enhancements to Image Processing include:

• Image editor styling fixed
• Ensure both width and height easier to use
• Process images inserted into a page through Airbrush.

General

• Alert messages now stick to bottom when window is scrolled
