100MB link. As a leading Australian tier-one ISP, the Primus Data Center is serviced by a fully managed and scalable ATM network. With a full ATM link to the newly commissioned backbone, Primus also has its own satellite redundancy as well as two redundant fiber links through other tier-one providers. In turn with generous fibre links to our internal server facilities, your website has uninterrupted data flow coupled with a global telecommunications carrier’s reliability and support.

Power / Cooling / Fire

The iPrimus Data Centre facility has an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) installed supported by 1 x 800 KVA generator. All this plus a dual redundant air conditioning system to provide a reliable, ‘always-on’ hosting environment. Cooling is managed at a constant 21°C +/- 1.5°C. Relative Humidity 50% +/- 20%. Extensive, state of the art [Haylon] fire detection and management systems.

Security

iPrimus Data Center has stringent physical security measures to ensure your web site is up 24x7. These facilities meet Australian Communications Electronic Security Instructions 33 (ACSI 33). They include an array of stringent fire walls and five physical security layers.

The BlocksGlobal™ platform has been built from the ground up to ensure maximal stability, scalability and performance.

Hardware Stability

BlocksGlobal™ hardware is kept highly available with dual power supplies to each machine with all devices using hardware powered Raid 5 across their hard drives.

Cloud Computing Infrastructure

We run an internal cloud computing infrastructure using Xen virtualization, allowing us to easily isolate, scale and provision services. All Blocks instances are run in their own virtual server so your throughput needs can be individually monitored and assessed.

Monitoring and Failover

Every aspect of our system is exposed to our extensive monitoring suite, which ensures that potential problems are identified and fixed so your websites remain online. On top of this, core system nodes are replicated and will transparently failover in the event of a failure.

Data Backups

The data in your BlocksTM database is synchronized with multiple slave databases and backed up to a remote location nightly. We keep 7 days, and 4 Sundays’ worth of backups at all times.

Digital Asset Backups

All your digital assets are kept on a special RAID device and are backed up to a remote server on a nightly basis.
